Honestly, I thought it was a scam, and then I decided to make a request based on their recommendations. A few days ago, I confirmed in my personal bank account amounting to $15,000 dollars which I applied for. This is really a good news and I am so very happy that I advise all those who need a real loan and who are sure to reimburse to apply through their email (text or call) +1 719 629 0982. Really the bank wants to sell farmable land to people who don't want to farm it? Sad. I had no idea what struggles go into just trying to buy a farm to actually farm. I would love to know a piece of land that deeply.

As far as I know, the dairy cows that the Ostmans raised in Seaside were Guernsey. Their grandchildren told me that the reason was that they felt it made for the best, highest fat milk. They stopped being a dairy sometime in the late fifties because they didn't believe in all the homogenizing technology stuff that they were being asked to do to their milk. They raised beef cows for a while- not sure of the breed, but I think it was Angus. The Ostman's passed away in the late 70s.

It's so encouraging to meet other small farmers (and fellow Grangers- which Grange do you belong to?) in our state, and to know that artisan farming is alive and well in the State of Oregon. Thanks again for getting in touch!

I hope today is a beautiful where you are as it is at the coast- clear blue skies as far as you can see. Hard to believe it's October....Teresa Retzlaffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03796025614634098720noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6687786808709000963.post-52870410658597133642010-10-05T07:44:17.904-07:002010-10-05T07:44:17.904-07:00Hi neighbor (sort of) it's nice to see another...Hi neighbor (sort of) it's nice to see another Oregon farm blog, and read about challenges like ours. We are located on the Western slopes of the Cascades east of Portland near the Bull Run, with high rainfall like your area (I have some cousins in Jewell, who live right next to the Elk sanctuary.)

Anyway, fellow Granger, do you happen to know what kind of dairy cattle Ostman's raised? I bought a few heifers via my cousins from a farm on the way to Seaside from Jewell and the old couple was very gracious and had very nice cattle. However, I never knew the people's name but remember that they didn't live in the old farmhouse, but a newer one and when I was there a beautiful Empress tree was in bloom. Anyway enough memory lane - just wanted to say HI!Throwback at Trapper Creekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12418370592659531735noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6687786808709000963.post-64827780094419437032010-07-28T07:18:02.489-07:002010-07-28T07:18:02.489-07:00Thanks for all the comments- it's a bit overw...Thanks for all the comments- it's a bit overwhelming to know that people actually read this thing. yikes.

Thom- thanks for the correction on the sugar water, I knew there was more to it, but couldn't remember what.
